I spent last 6 years thinking that I am not interested in content writing, yes it’s true. But that’s not the only reason I kept myself away from content writing, several times during the past years I decided to write many times but every time I think of a topic and planned a content about it, I found similar or same content available online in dozens if not hundreds of places.
I thought what’s the point in writing the same thing over and over again with my own twist? Am I providing any value or I just want to trick the world into thinking that I know something others don’t?
I felt guilty of doing something wrong so I never written anything, except few blogs to improve my writing skills, which I eventually deleted later.
So here I am, starting this blog after being so confident about two things;
First, I have something valuable to share
Second, I can’t contribute to this industry unless I write
Now I have proper motivation to overcome both of my problems; interest and value.
Who Am I?
Let me tell you a little about myself because you going to see me everywhere you go from now on. My name is Umer Mahasin and I live in Pakistan. I started as a freelance SEO expert in 2010, before that I were doing small stuff online for couple of years which aren’t worth to mention here.
I did it for 3 years and then I stepped into the world of PPC and never came out of it, I passed Google AdWords certificate, Analytics qualification, also taken a digital marketing certificate from Quirk.
Right now, I am working as a full time Director PPC & CRO in local digital marketing firm.
Planning a First Blog Post
Now I had to think about the title and copy of my first blog, I thought about SEO, PPC, CRO, Social media, case studies, lists, top ten, top 20, and all kind of stuff and I came up with very unique and interesting ideas but during this whole process I noticed one thing very strange, very interesting and very sad. And that thing changed my whole blog writing idea.
I noticed that during the process of thinking about first blog,
“few names of people and blogs are continuously popping in my mind as my mind was trying to fetch something from there”
and suddenly I realized that I am inspired by these blogs and industry experts.
This was very strange because I didn’t have proper realization that I am so much inspired by these people and blogs. It was also very interesting to know that our mind works in that way and I also realized the power of study if I haven’t done that my mind wouldn’t produce anything good.
And the sad side, I never thanked them. I never acknowledged their work, time they take to share their expertise, efforts they put to guide us and polish us to do something good with our own lives. I were so selfish, always took from them, never given anything back, not even a proper thanks and I am so sorry for that.
So I decided to write my first blog about those wonderful people and blogs who have so much effect on my life that I am a totally changed man today and I couldn’t even think about working and writing about digital marketing if they were not out there.
These are the people who inspires me so much and I am a fan of their work…by the way who don’t know these people and I am just one out of their millions of fans.

By no way I mean any disrespect to all other wonderful people out there. Above names don’t mean I read only them and never read anyone else, I read a lot of people and appreciate the work they are doing but unfortunately I don’t remember all the names at this moment.
Here are the blogs that inspires me…
Yes I read these 3 blogs only, call it my laziness or maybe I never had to look at other places to get updates and refresh my knowledge. Again, it doesn’t mean I never read any other blogs, I do read a lot of blogs from time to time but I am not their regular reader.
Just to make things more clear, I am writing about the blogs and people popping up in my mind as I mentioned earlier, remember?
So to save you some time I know how big the internet is…
Finally, please accept my thanks from the core of my heart boys and a girl. You all played a major role in making me what I am today. I have made that so far and I am progressing day by day.
One last thing, I would generally request to all of the people in the industry, please for once in your life spare some time for those who helped you directly or indirectly to be what you are today. Sadly, I notice the attitude of not saying proper thanks to the people who deserve the most. I see thanks and praising into comment sections but that are, unfortunately, 90% times for the sake of a reason other than thanks.
So this is it, I am feeling relaxed and comfortable now, I have paid my due.
